Gaithersburg,
MD -- VT Group is proud to name George H.
Allen as the president of the organization's Technical Services
business unit. Allen will provide strategic leadership and work
with organizational leaders to establish and report long-term
goals, strategies and policies for the Technical Services business
unit.

years experience in the defense community, George's expertise in

VT Group's Technical
Services business unit provides a range of operational readiness,
logistics, broad base operations, maintenance services to the U.S.
military, federal agencies and international corporations as well
as a diversified set of services and solutions.

have been very impressed by the company's capabilities, industry
partnerships and growth potential in the Technical Services unit. I
am excited to lead such a talented group of individuals," said
Allen.
Allen joined VT Group in
November 2010 as vice president of Strategic Development for
Technical Services. Prior to that, he spent four years with Agility
Defense and Government Services, leading its global business
strategy and growth of the company from $100 million to more than
$1 billion. In addition, Allen has extensive experience in
logistics and supply chain, and spent more than 10 years as chief
operating officer for the Defense Logistics Agency, where he was
responsible for a $10 billion end-to-end supply chain operation for
all of the U.S. Department of Defense's medical supplies, uniforms,
food, construction materials and industrial hardware.
Allen earned a Bachelor of
Art, Pre-Law, and a Master of Public Administration from
Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Defense
Logistics Hall of Fame, a distinguished member of the regiment,
U.S. Army Quartermasters Corps and an Alumni Fellow at Pennsylvania
State University.
